Camden Town Hall Refurbishment

PAD Contracts were commissioned as architectural metalwork specialists on London’s Camden Town Hall refurbishment project.

About the Camden Town Hall renovation work

It is predicted that the renovated Town Hall will be ready to reopen in the autumn of 2022. The site, located in the heart of the knowledge quarter, will be multifaceted. Half of the building is designed to accommodate small businesses while the rest will house Camden’s civic floor with a new council chamber, and three new wedding suites.

The aim of the project is to support the economic recovery of the London Borough of Camden through reduced rents and new jobs and apprenticeships, as well as providing a platform for the Town Hall to be self-financing.

While the refurbishment continues, PAD Contracts’ work on the project is already complete.

Preservation of Camden Town Hall’s history

The primary aim of the project was to preserve the building’s history and cultural heritage while opening up access to this iconic landmark to everyone.

Environmental impact

The renovated building will carry an exemplary BREEAM (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) rating by reducing CO2 output by 60% a year, alongside halved running costs. PAD Contracts are proud to have been involved in a project with such targeted cultural and environmental objectives.
