HMS Belfast is a historic warship that served in the British Royal Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Launched in 1938, it was named after the capital city of Northern Ireland, Belfast. The ship is now permanently moored as a museum ship on the River Thames in London, where it serves as a popular tourist attraction.
The museum showcases the ship’s various compartments, including the engine rooms, gun turrets, and crew quarters. Exhibitions and displays provide a glimpse into the ship’s wartime experiences, featuring photographs, personal accounts, and artifacts. The ship’s nine decks offer a comprehensive tour, enabling visitors to imagine what life was like for the sailors during combat.
PAD Contracts were tasked with providing a range of Architectural metalwork including the balustrading that can be seen surrounding the museum entry, shop/cafe and the jetty area.
