Project Overview
Architectural metalwork specialists PAD Contracts recently completed the manufacture and installation of bespoke security gates at the main entrance of Stratford Westfield Shopping Centre on Westfield Avenue, Olympic Park, London.
The sturdy steel gates are designed to retract, be aesthetically pleasing whilst ensuring the gates provide the strict security requirements when required on event days from attendees to the nearby Olympic Stadium.
Manufactured from high grade steel frames, the individual gates feature tensile wire screening and ‘anti-climb’ steel plates to ensure rigidity of the wire and an impenetrable barrier. Positioned centrally, in close proximity to the information point are two static panels that echo the retractable gate design with tensile wire screens and steel frames fixed into a wooden surround and structurally secured into the ground.
